A microfiber sofa adds comfort and charm to your home. Although this material is resistant and stain resistant, the sofa cushions can become dirty and need to be cleaned. Don’t just grab the cushions and start rubbing. Wash and dry the microfiber sofa cushions in the right way to clean them without compromising the integrity of the fabric. Check the label of the cushions to see if they can be cleaned with water or if dry cleaning is recommended.

Wet washing and drying
Suck both sides of the cushions with a soft brush vacuum cleaner. This will remove dust, dirt and other debris from the fabric.
Fill a bucket with cold water. Add a few drops of mild liquid detergent or dish soap. Mix the soap and water well with your hands.
Moisten a clean white sponge towel with soapy water. Squeeze it well to remove as much excess water as possible.
Gently rub the pillow with the damp towel using small circular motions. Divide the pillow into about four sections and work on one section at a time. Dry each section with a hairdryer set immediately to “Cool” after washing.
Continue this process until each section of each pillow has been washed and dried. If necessary, turn the pillow over and repeat the process on the opposite side.
Dry washing
Suck both sides of the cushions with a soft brush to remove dirt, dust and debris.
Divide the pillow into four sections. Work on one section at a time. Sprinkle with a thin layer of mild powder detergent on a section.
Gently brush that section of the pillow for about 30 – 60 seconds with a soft bristle brush. Vacuum the loose powder from the section.
Go to the next section and sprinkle the detergent. Gently rub the section, then vacuum the dust. Repeat this process, working on one section of a pillow at a time, until the cushions are clean.
