However, I do recommend having a partner help you for a speedy set-up, and to avoid injuries. After I attached the legs, I flipped it by myself, but the leg jammed into my own and I was left with a terrible cutbruise for a week.
My own fault! The doors open and close softly. The color is beautiful. It is sturdy and well-made.
I cut my own holes into the back with a box cutter to run wires through. This was expected, as the description and reviews state that there are none.

As others have noted, the construction is a bit involved, took us about 3-4 hours total. I definitely suggest having two people put it together. Main issue I noticed was that the wooden dowels need to be pushed in a little more than halfway or else they tend to break through the surface on other side and its hard to remedy that once it happens. I believe that if you dont use the glue on the initial insert of the dowel it may help as I assume it would help the dowel move more freely. Also I found that the instructions put the piece together a bit strangely compared to other pieces Ive built.
It felt like it focused on putting together too many of the delicate inner pieces first so it was hard to stand up which is why I agreed with the two person suggestion.
In any case, build issues aside, this piece makes for a great bar and feels sturdy once together.
Its especially great for a small space such as mine. We are truly enjoying it so far.”

I searched Google and in turn several sites.
I found a few that I liked, but they were all in the 6-8 hundred dollar range.
This one was well suited to my needs and close to a third of the cost.
I built professional office systems in past years, so I know good furniture. This piece is well made.
This item is not easy to assemble for those who have no experience. If you stick with it, you can figure it out and have a great piece of furniture.
Just be patient.
I had this built within 1.5-2 hours at a very leisurely pace.
The documentation does not show orientation of pieces very well, but otherwise is decipherable if you take your time. The orientation and articulation of most pieces will be obvious and mistakes will show themselves quickly.
One exception to this is the main side pieces that the doors will be attached to. Watch out for the pre-drilled hinge holes.
It is possible to assemble the entire piece and have the side pieces reversed left and right, putting the hinge holes toward the back of the cabinet. Put the hinges on the doors when you are ready to put the sides together and find the holes the hinges will screw into on the side pieces.
Do not put the doors on at this point, just be sure you understand where the holes are. Orient the side pieces so that the hinge holes are at the front of the cabinet and you will not have to partially dismantle it for this small mistake.
Two stars for the documentation.
The furniture is a five star piece for its value.”

Yes it is a little difficult to put together just because the instructions are just slightly unclear. Like others have mentions, just be aware of where the hinge screws go for the cabinets so you don’t get the orientation wrong.

I would give this 5 stars except for the horrible, horrible assembly instructions and ease of messing up. As some background, I have designed and built actual furniture, from scratch, by myself. I have assembled over
10. pieces of flat pack furniture, typically by myself.
These are by far the worst instructions I have ever used.
The good: each piece of the buffet was numbered (using a red stamp on an unfinished side), the hardware was extremely well packaged, and all of the holes were drilled properly.
The bad: everything else. The instructions are just pictures (which seems typical, although seriously, WORDS WOULD HELP). The instructions also change perspective without warning, so sometimes you’re viewing the backside of the piece and sometimes the front. It’s extremely confusing.
The pictures in the instructions do not include all of the holes in each piece, so it’s not immediately possible to figure out which side is up, left, right, front, etc. (some of the pieces have an unfinished side, which helps a bit because it’s obviously the back).
If the pictures of each piece included all its holes, this would not be a problem. Also, the inside side pieces are identical…almost. Turns out I put them on the wrong sides (there’s no way to know this from the instructions), so I can’t attach the doors and the shelves don’t sit on their pegs. Because I followed the instructions step by step, I nailed on the back pieces before I tried to attach the doors. It was then that I realized the side pieces were on the wrong side, which means I can’t attach the doors (the holes for the door hinges are way in the back, when they should be in front).
Everything fit together perfectly until that point, so there was no indication that I had put the side pieces on incorrectly (all of the holes match up, etc.). I can’t take it apart because the back is nailed on and the dowels are glued, so I had to do a little carpentry (drilling new holes for the hinges and making a few new cuts on the shelves so they fit. A simple sticker with front written on it would have ensured that the si

IT DEFINITELY WAS WORTH IT. The svelves on the side are not high as it looks on the picuture.
They will fit small glasses but my wine glasses do not fit there at all, plus it would hold only 2 of them not

The reason I took one star away is due to the fact that the shipping carton had no bolsters or foam in it to save the sideboard from rubbing against the box during shipping so the wood stain was worn off on two of the corners and there were a couple of scratches on the body of the unit. I can use a furniture pen to fix these areas so I’m ok with it. Delivery was a bit tricky but Wayfair customer service worked with us and the delivery company and got everything ironed out to our satisfaction.

We were impressed by the heft of some of the boards used. Everything fit together very precise.
Doors are a bit flimsy in the center panel, but we can look past that since they aren’t being opened/slammed shut (no kids yet). Took a while to align the doors properly.
Wish their hinges allowed for some vertical adjustment, otherwise it’s great.”

The legs all have adjustable feet, which was helpful in making sure the buffet was stable on our wood floor. The only negative would be the shelves.
While noted as adjustable–which they are set-up for with 3 shelf heights–the pegs are screwed into the shelf.
While this does give the shelf more stability than normal adjustable pegs where the shelf just rests on top, it also means it will require unscrewing and removing the pegs anytime the shelf needs moved.
Small inconvenience to an otherwise nice piece.”

Assembly time: 6-10 hours. That said, the directions were quite good, and the parts fit together remarkably well! When completed, the item looks about 95% terrific, and just like the picture. Note that the wood is all manufactured wood product. The piece is largely assembled upside-down and, when we turned it over at the end, there was a corner on the top where the wood product had crumbled slightly.”

The top piece was scratched when I opened it. So please, keep in mind that it is delicate and obviously not made of the best materials (MDF is all I can afford anyway).
There was also some weird writing on the underside of one of the pieces where it seems there was an attempt to wipe it off.
Both of these “faults” were the only reason I took away a star, but it doesn’t change my love for the product. Setup was easier than I thought, and I did it alone.
It took me about two hours, but that’s because i was sipping on wine, engaging in conversation, and overall distracted. However, I do recommend having a partner help you for a speedy set-up, and to avoid injuries.
After I attached the legs, I flipped it by myself, but the leg jammed into my own and I was left with a terrible cutbruise for a week.
My own fault! The doors open and close softly.
The color is beautiful. It is sturdy and well-made.
I cut my own holes into the back with a box cutter to run wires through. This was expected, as the description and reviews state that there are none. Highly recommend for a beautiful update to any room!”

I am using it in the kitchen to replace an older buffet, but it could also be used as a TV stand in the family room.
The numerous pieces are well marked and labeled, and my husband did not have any problem putting it together. It took him about an hour. The pieces lined up perfectly and everything fit together they way it should.
The only thing I was disappointed about is there are no drawers.
The middle section appears to be drawers, but it is not, it is a door with an adjustable shelve behind it. There is an adjustable shelve behind the glass doors as well. The soft close hinges on the doors is a nice feature. My only concern with this buffet table is the lack of support for the top shelf. The description does list the shelf weight capacity of 25lbs.
and I am not sure if that is for the top shelf or the interior shelves. I worry the top shelf may begin to sag over time even with following the recommended weight capacity.”

I looked for a buffet for a while, most of the ones I really liked were $2,500 or more and a surprising number of more expensive ones were partially MDF or something.
This one is solid, really well made, and a lovely color (darker and more even than shown). Drawers feel sturdy, doors are all aligned.
The cabinet is two sections, one for the right door, and one for the other two doors. It looks beautiful and much more expensive than it is! It came fully assembled and well wrapped. 100% satisfied.”

6. tall but we don’t like bending over a sink too much the older we get!). Used a matte (no sheen) oil based polyurethane on top surface and kick plate to help protect it. My husband used hand tools to modify it for the vessel sink and the plumbing which affected the middle drawer (just cut the back and bottom off the drawer, which are velvet lined and reinforced in the corners, and reinserted the drawer into the slide rails).
Very sturdy piece of furniture, solid and well built. I included a close up of the wood on top, the color overall is more blackish than brown, which is EXACTLY what we were looking for. Very pleased with the purchase. (If you don’t like the open cupboards below—-I love them—- you could EASILY cover the inside of the panels with fabric and still have the effect of the metal design).
