Acosta Reversible Quilt Set

Finally! A quilt wide enough to cover our mattress (& keep us covered while sleeping).
I had been looking for an ‘oversized’ king comforter or quilt for over a year. My criteria was
1. It had to be at least
10. inches wide.
2. It needed to match the rest of our decor.
3. It needed to be inexpensive. (our dogs sleep with us & I just can’t justify spending $100 or more on something that they may destroy in a few months).
4. It needed to be just the comforter or quilt. I didn’t want a 6 or 8 piece set with sheets and accent pillows & all of that.
I had all of that – I just wanted a quilt long enough to cover the mattress fully when the bed is made & keep us covered at night. This quilt did all of that – and for a cheaper price than I expected. The quilt needed to be laundered a couple times to get the ‘warehousey’ smell out of it & it’ll probably need a couple more washings to get some creases out, but I’m pretty happy with it. It also came with a couple king-sized pillow sham covers which I wasn’t expecting.

There is more than one way to tame a stubborn and irritable breast, but it could be said that one of the best is to let it vent, literally, in a bag to cook in the oven.
A breast is cut from the hardest region of a cow, making it a perfect combination for a bag that allows you to throw the meat in its juices. When the breast comes out of the oven, there will have been a transformation, which will give you a tender, juicy and delicious dish.Cut the fat often from the breast, particularly the one that can be “hidden” in the back.
Leave a thin layer of grease on the skirt; It gives a little taste and when cooked it will “melt” in the meat.Rinse the breast and dry it with paper towels. Consider cutting it in a pan to brown the outside, as slow cooking in the oven makes it tender but not crunchy.
To prepare the breast, spread with olive oil, then season with a mixture of garlic salt, pepper and a little cane sugar.
Abrasion will not take long; your whole breast needs about three minutes of medium-high heat on both sides.Preheat the oven.
You can cook the breast at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about two hours or for a slightly more tender meal, cook it slowly at 275 degrees for about four hours.Put the cooking bag in a baking dish and place the chest inside. To add moisture, flavor and a softened punch to the chest during cooking, add a little beef broth, apple cider vinegar and a pinch of Worcestershire sauce. For an extra kick, add bourbon.Tie the bag and cut four small holes in the upper part so that the skirt can release steam. Cook the breast according to the preferred program, placing it on the central grid. Check the skirt to see if it’s ready. You should have an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F, but you can choose to cook it for a longer time until it is almost melted in your mouth.

★★★★☆ Debbie from Waterford, MI said: “Love Love Love the coverlet!!! I purchased a King for my Queen size bed and it’s perfect.
I purchased the Dark Grey and it’s true to its color on the picture. I ordered a light grey blanket to go under and King size pillows for the shams. It all looks and feels perfect. I live in the Midwest so the coverlet is great for the Fall and Spring months.
You may just need a thin blanket underneath.

★★★★☆ Jennifer from Manchester, MA said: “The yellow is not bright and fresh, but a dim shade of light caramel. It is soft and simple it you want an accent of color without any pattern.
It matches the gold flowers my Barcelona Light Green Rug that I purchased at Wayfair.
I’m happy with it and the price, but the rounded pillow shams may not be a nice as square corners for people, so that is why 4 stars. I didn’t show the pillow shams because I won’t be using them as I want to keep my pillows all white. I will be cutting and hemming the shams to use to protect the tops of my night side tables instead.”
★★★★☆ Chris from WA said: “This is a very nice coverlet set. Nicely oversized. Washes up well (I use a front loader). I purchased it in Taupe which I consider more of a warm sand/tan which worked well for my color scheme.
Paired with sage colored sheets and a two-toned forest/sage throw.
Bed shown in picture is Grain Wood Furniture Shaker Solid Wood Queen-size Slated Platform Bed in Cherry.”
★★★★☆ Sandra from Greensboro, GA said: “This is just the type of quilt we were looking for because our dog sleeps on our bad and leaves plenty of hair.
It is necessary to wash the quilt quite often and this quilt and accessories come out beautifully from the washer and dryer. I size of this quilt is also great because it stays a little large and never shrinks or wrinkles. I highly recommend this quilt if you are looking for a quilt that is a little over-sized and maintains its size, shape, and color over repeated washings. This quilt also comes in a variety of colors.”
Fabric Yardage Requirements for Various Sized Quilts
Quilts that create their own patchwork designs often encounter difficulties in trying to determine the amount of fabric needed for their projects. Several different geometric shapes can be included in various fabric colors in a design, which makes construction site calculations a challenge. Free online quilt calculators greatly simplify the process. In addition, computers often automatically include the quarter-inch seam allowance that quilters often use to sew patchwork pieces. If the quilts do not have access to an online calculator, for example, in a quilted pickup, for example, some simple mathematical calculations should help determine the necessary yardage. Furthermore, it is always useful to have the help of expert padding, which can surely help with the needs of the construction site. Invariably, additional material will remain at the end of any project. This is not bad, since the quilts can add it to their “stock” of fabrics for future projects.
A king size quilt is about 100 inches long and 92 inches wide. To start calculating the fabric thread needed for this large quilt, count the number of each shape of the same color in the mosaic design. Enter the results in an online quilt calculator to estimate how many meters of fabric will be needed for each shape based on the width of the fabric. For example, choosing the “square” shape and connecting 12 inches to the size of the squares on a quilting calculator quickly revealed that it would take about five feet of 44 inch wide fabric to create those squares.
The queen size bedspreads often measure 84 inches by 92 inches. A quilt calculator will also help determine how much fabric would be needed to make a quilt of this size that includes equilateral triangles. Since all sides of these triangles have the same length, it is sufficient to enter the number of inches measured on one side to determine the fabric yard.
The lengths for the long and short sides of a rectangle should be inserted into a quilting calculator to determine the fabric yarn for a full-size quilting with standard measurements of 78 inches by 88 inches. For example, 35 rectangles measuring 4 inches by 2 inches could be cut by half a meter of 44-inch-wide fabric.
Finding the fabric yarn for regular hexagons included in a 63-inch to 88-inch double quilt can also be simplified with a quilt calculator. Since all sides of a six-sided regular hexagon have the same length, it is sufficient to measure one side to determine the construction site with the calculator. Ten hexagons measuring 6 inches on all sides could be cut from a 44-inch-wide fabric meter.
The irregularly shaped mosaic is often used to create images on 42-inch quilts for 52-inch children or 60-inch-72-inch quilts. To determine the fabric yarn, divide the total number of shapes you connect into a quilt calculator by the number of irregular shapes that can fit into a single square. Round the resulting number to a whole number, if necessary.
The back of a quilt is often made up of one or two large pieces of fabric and the thread depends largely on the size of the finished mosaic design. About four inches must be added to the length and width of the backing fabric for small quilts and eight inches must be added for large quilts. The patchwork tends to shrink when it is padded and the extra inches welcome the contraction.
